Ari Van Assche is an associate professor at the Department of International Business at HEC Montréal. He is also a research fellow at CIRANO in Montreal and the University of Leuven in his native Belgium. In 2012, he authored (with Todd Evans) the IRPP study Global Value Chains and Canada’s Trade Policy: Business as Usual or Paradigm Shift?
