Peter Phillips is Distinguished University Professor Emeritus of the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy (JSGS) at University of Saskatchewan. He earned his PhD at the LSE, worked for 13 years as an economist in industry and senior economic advisor and ADM of Policy with the government of Saskatchewan and over the past 26 years held a series of professorial appointments in agricultural economics, business, political studies and public policy at USask and visiting appointments in the UK, France, Italy and Australia. He has published 20 scholarly books and more than 175 articles and book chapters on aspects of policy. Peter was founding director of JSGS at USask and currently serves as Principal of VALGEN Consulting Group, Chair of the Board of Genome Prairie and Chair of the Clean Growth Panel with the Canadian Climate Institute.
